According to Atlanta.curbed.com there is a new tower being proposed for the northern reaches of midtown and could “go a long way toward elongating the central city’s skyline”. The project entitled the mixed-use project is currently being planned for the northeast corner of Peachtree and 17th street. Currently, there are three commercial buildings and a small park residing in the space. The midtown alliance believes that, “the proposal is about as mixed-used as they come”. They are proposing an 11story building that would house 190,000 sq ft of office space and house a retail space at street level while incorporating luxury apartment units and a 140 room hotel. Thus including various amenities and a cafe around the corner. The building would be about 42 stories and likely the tallest building to hit midtown Atlanta since The Atlantic.
